About Me

Hello :D My name is Keith Robertson. This is my blogging site for my Global Science class. I am interested in many things science related. Mostly space related. I love anything about black holes, supernovas, and galaxies. Some day, I plan to work on the International Space Station.

Nature center walk thoughts

Some things that I learned on the nature walk were the different types of plants you can find on the trails. One thing was the king pines. I had never heard of them before. Another thing was a red looking plant (I think it was poison oak of some kind) that can act like poison ivy if you touch it. Lastly was all the different types of crickets and grasshoppers that you can find, some are brown, black, or speckled.

The water chemistry test that I have chosen is Dissolved Oxygen. The reason that this relates to our project is because of the amount of oxygen in the water. With our project, we will reduce the amount of fossil fuel gases like carbon dioxide. This will allow more oxygen to enter the water instead of CO2. Our project uses hydrogen as the fuel creating a waste product which is H2O.

Right now, our project is going pretty well. We can't do much on our project right now until we get approval from higher authorities.  Once that is done, we will be able to start creating hydrogen for our project. We currently are working on the circuits for our project to turn hydrogen energy into A.C. power.

Currently, my responsibilities in my project are to research on how to change D.C. energy into regular usable energy. Once we are allowed to do the chemical parts of the project, I will do many other things like combining chemicals, recording data, etc.
